File Download and Program Installation Instructions

Step 1.   Print this page by selecting the print button at the top of this browser screen or by selecting print from the File Pulldown Menu. Step 2.   The download procedure will select a default folder for the downloaded file which is named "sppdemo.exe".  We recommend that you create a temporary folder, prior to downloading, on your computer using File Manager in Windows 3.xx or Explorer in Windows 95, 98, NT, 2000, or XP in which to place the downloaded file. Step 3.   Click on the "Download Safety Plan PLUS Demo Now" to begin the download process. Step 4.   You will be presented with a download screen, identifying the file to download "sppdemo.exe" and a folder in which to place the downloaded file.  If this folder is not the folder you created in Step 2 above or is not the folder in which you wish to save this file, you should change to the desired folder before clicking OK. Step 5.   The "sppdemo.exe" is approximately 2.8 MB in size and download time will depend on the speed of your modem.  Once the file is downloaded onto your computer, it is ready to be installed.  The installed program will use approximately 10 megabytes of disk space.  An Uninstall is provided to remove Safety Plan PLUS Demo from your hard drive whenever you wish. Step 6.   Before installing the program, close all unnecessary programs.  To install the Safety Plan PLUS Demo, use File Manager in Windows 3.xx or Explorer in Windows 95, 98, NT, 2000, or XP.  Go to the folder where you downloaded the file "sppdemo.exe" in Step 4 above.  Run the file by double clicking the left mouse button on the file name, or select the file by clicking once with the left mouse button, highlighting the file, then select "Open" from the File Pulldown Menu.  The installation program will begin.  Follow the instructions on the screen to install the Safety Plan PLUS Demo.

Running the Program

Windows 3.xx:  Using the Program Manager (Desk Top), open the program group named Safety Plan PLUS Demonstration.  Double click the icon named Safety Plan PLUS Demo to launch the program. Windows 95, 98, NT, 2000:  Click the Start Menu then select Programs.  Look for an item on the program list named Safety Plan PLUS Demonstration.  Within this program group, select "Safety Plan PLUS Demo" to launch the program. Windows XP:  After loading the Demo, right-click the icon on your desktop or the shortcut on the Start menu for the Demo, and then click Properties. Click the Compatibility tab, and select Windows 95 in the scroll menu. Click Apply and OK to run the Safety Plan PLUS Demonstration.
